My story

Four decades in Northeast LA.

I've been a Northeast LA kid since 1984. I grew up between Glassell Park and Eagle Rock, went to Toland Way Elementary, and graduated from Eagle Rock High School in 1997. When it came time to put down roots of my own, there was never any question about where — I found a home in Eagle Rock, and today I'm raising two kids here with my wife.

That's forty years of watching Northeast LA become what it is now. I've seen Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, and Glassell Park each grow into their own — and what I love is that every one of them keeps its own character while sharing that rare Northeast LA feeling: a genuine small-town warmth set against the whole Los Angeles skyline. It's one of the best-kept secrets in the city, and it's home.
